The dialogue is just really grating. The humor is so limp. I just don't want to continue watching this movie. If my brother didn't go up to sleep he would be looking at me wide-eyed like 'is this really happening?' or 'yeah, pretty goooooood movie buddy.'
Can I say something mean? I found myself wishing to be like Taylor Swift's character because she is brutally run over by a truck and instantly killed early in the movie. [Though that doesn't seem the most pleasant option.]
I watched this guy review a Wes Anderson flick in his car and while rolling his eyes he said "and of course it's beautifully shot." Implying that just because something looks good doesn't mean it isn't garbage. The film looks good here and there. Margot Robbie is pleasant. I'm just confused by this.
There's no movie that no one will like. So maybe you might like it. I think there is some charm to the movie and you may enjoy living in the warm colors of this world. The characters are quirky but I just don't think they're quite fully realized within the context of whatever story this is. It feels like a bit of a mess. It does look like the actors had fun but I'm not sure that counts for much here to me.
Yeah I turned it off after an hour. Oh well.
